Wolverhampton Wanderers v Leicester City Match Preview & Free Bets

Both Wolves and Leicester will look to put their inconsistencies to once side when they lock horns at Molineux on Saturday afternoon

It’s fair to say that Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers have both been pretty unpredictable this season and they lock horns with each other at Molineux on Saturday afternoon in a match which really could go either way. Wolves have provided us with a few shocks this season – not least their unexpected wins over Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool (FA Cup) – however they have also lost to the likes of Crystal Palace and Cardiff City along the way while only managing a draw with struggling Fulham on Boxing Day. This makes Wolves extremely difficult to back with any certainty although given that they have lost each of their last two home matches with no goals scored during this time, we’ll be going against them in their weekend meeting with Leicester City.

Wolves may have been struggling for consistency this season, however Leicester City have been no better. The Foxes have enjoyed notable wins over the likes of Everton and Manchester City in recent outings but they have also lost on home turf to Southampton and Cardiff City while being dumped out of the FA Cup by League Two outfit Newport County at Rodney Parade. That begs the question, what’s going to happen when they lock horns with Wolves at Molineux?

Our belief is that the Foxes will head home with the three points in the bag, a surprising prediction perhaps but one which will believe will come to fruition. Wolves have had issues breaking down defensive-minded sides this season with most of their limited success coming against teams which press forward. Leicester City are firmly in the former category – their defensive strategy worked wonders against Everton and Chelsea – and we envisage the visitors adopting the same tactics in the West Midlands to great effect. This is likely to be a low-scoring affair and a draw isn’t out of the question, so we’ll be playing it safe and backing Leicester City Draw-No-Bet at 7/5 with BetVictor Bookmakers.
