The major bookmakers unanimously agree that Manchester City will be the ones to beat next season, all operators making Pep Guardiola’s men firm favourites to win the title next season, despite Liverpool enjoying a massive 18-point lead over the Citizens at the end of 2019/20. Indeed City are a short price of just 21/20 to lift the crown at the end of the new campaign although some firm go odds-on that they finish top of the pile.
As such, newly-crowned champions Liverpool have been pushed into second favourites at general odds of 15/8, thus suggesting that they have a perceived 34.8% chance of making it two Premier League titles in succession.
By far the biggest movers in the betting market are Manchester United, the odds on the Red Devils clinching the 2020/21 Premier League Title being slashed from around 25/1 to as low as 7/1. Chelsea are fourth favourites to clinch the title at general odds of 14/1, the Blues aided by newly-signed Timo Werner.
After this there’s a massive drop off in the betting market with Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal each priced at a general 66/1 while newly-promoted Leeds United are a 200/1 shot to do the unthinkable and secure the title at the end of their first campaign in the top flight for sixteen years.
