Momentum

West Bromwich Albion took a while to get going following their return from the lockdown, however they have now got well and truly into their stride. Indeed Slaven Bilic’s men have won each of their last three matches with nine goals scored during that time and they will clearly be wanting to continue the momentum when they lock horns with fellow promotion-hopefuls Fulham on Tuesday evening.

Optimism

Nevertheless while there is cause for optimism at the Hawthorns right now, there is little room for any complacency. Third-placed Brentford sit just three points behind West Brom as things stand while fourth-placed Fulham are two points further back. These two sides will be only to happy to take advantage of any slip-ups by the West Midlands outfit in the next couple of weeks and as such, we envisage Tuesday evening’s outing being a somewhat cagey affair.

Confidence

Fulham also took a while getting into their stride following their return from lockdown, the Cottagers losing convincingly to Brentford and Leeds United in their opening two games, however since then they have won four on the bounce with just a single goal conceded during that time and confidence will be high ahead of this clash.

Cagey Affair

From the outset we envisage this match being somewhat cagey given that there is much at stake for both sides. Victory for the visitors would lift them to within two points of the Baggies while a win for West Brom would allow them to keep themselves firmly in the top two. In the end, we expect to see the spoils being shared between these two evenly-matched side, a result which realistically will suit neither side.
