West Brom Odds

The battle for the Championship Title rages on and West Brom will be eager to keep the pressure on current leaders Leeds United at the top end of the table. The Baggies lock horns with Sheffield Wednesday this week and we take a look at the best West Brom odds with our best betting tips.

Disappointment

West Bromwich Albion have been in the top-two of the Championship for much of the campaign although while they sit just three points behind current leaders Leeds United, they will be wary of the sides below them in the division. Indeed the Baggies have been struggling since their return from the break with Slaven Bilic’s men having collected just a single point from their last two outings. A disappointing goal-less draw at home to local rivals Birmingham City was followed by a dismal 1-0 defeat at third-placed Brentford, therefore Bilic will be desperate for three points when his side travel to Hillsborough on Wednesday evening.

Mixed Bag

Prior to the enforced break, West Brom had been something of a mixed bag with just a single league win from three and this latest poor run will be of concern to Bilic. A collapse in form at this crucial stage of the campaign could prove disastrous for their automatic promotion ambitions and the sides immediately below them in the Championship table would be only too happy to take advantage of any such downturn in fortunes.

Mid-table

West Brom’s midweek opponents Sheffield Wednesday remain in contention for a play-off place although realistically most fans will have accepted the fact that their side will likely end up in a mid-table position. Prior to the break, the Owls were thumped 5-0 by promotion-hopefuls Brentford at Griffin Park and they have returned to action with some much better form, four points being collected from their opening two matches. This would suggest that Wednesday can provide West Brom with some tough opposition at Hillsborough and while Garry Monk’s men have been a bit of a mixed bag in front of their home fans this year, we believe that they can hold firm and force the visiting Baggies to settle for a single point.
