Which Premier League side will be first to visit Tottenham’s new White Hart Lane?

Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of moving into their new stadium, however who will be their first opponents?

It has certainly been a long time coming but Tottenham Hotspur are now close to moving into their new stadium, Betway Bookmakers going 8/13 that their first opponents at the New White Hart Lane are city rivals Crystal Palace on 16th March.

Tottenham’s move into the new ground has been beset by delays and other issues, this being a bone of contention by frustrated fans with their side having to use Wembley Stadium instead. Nevertheless the most likely contender to be Spurs’ initial opponents upon returning home are the Eagles in mid-March, meaning that the home fans have a little over two months to wait until they can take their seat at the new ground.

The possibility remains that Tottenham Hotspur’s opening game at WHL might be a much more feisty affair however with Betway going 11/8 that their initial opposition consists of arch-rivals Arsenal on 2nd March, while their meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion on 6th April is available at odds of 7/4.

Indeed while the delay in opening Tottenham’s new stadium continues, it looks as though the light at the end of the tunnel is growing ever larger and this will be music to the ears of the frustrated supporters.
