Championship Title: Norwich City odds-on to finish top of the pile

Norwich City remain in pole position in the Championship and the bookies are confident that they'll remain there until the end of the campaign

Norwich City’s Championship title bid received a setback when they were thumped 3-1 by Preston North End last month but they have responded in excellent fashion by winning their subsequent four matches and scoring eleven goals along the way. The Canaries sit two points above second-placed Leeds United as things stand and the indications are that the title race will go right down to the wire, however the bookies are confident that Daniel Farke’s men will maintain their grip on top spot until the end of the season with Ladbrokes going odds-on at 8/11 that they finish top of the pile.

The second automatic promotion place is occupied by Leeds United, the West Yorkshire side also enjoying an excellent campaign which has seen them win 21 of their 36 Championship outings. They lost 3-1 to league leaders Norwich City in what could prove to be a crucial result last month but the bookies remain cautiously optimistic that they can still mount a serious challenge on pole position towards the end of the season, Ladbrokes going 11/5 that they clinch the title.

Sheffield United remain hot on the heels of the top-two with the Blades sitting just two points adrift of second-placed Leeds United in the league table. Chris Wilder’s men slipped-up when only managing a single point in their goal-less draw with local rivals Sheffield Wednesday but they have enjoyed some excellent results this season and certainly shouldn’t be written off.
