Norwich City 6/4 favourites to win Championship title

Norwich City are back in pole position in the Championship table and they are being heavily backed to clinch the title this season

Norwich City have been hugely impressive this season with the Canaries flying high in the Championship table since the start of the campaign, however their 3-1 win at Leeds United was perhaps the standout result of 2018/19 and it has sent Daniel Farke’s men back to the top of the league table and made them bookies’ favourites to land the Championship crown.

The East Anglians were available at a whopping 100/1 to win the title back in September, however the Canaries have proven themselves to be the team to beat in the second-tier and the bookies have responded by making them as short as 6/4 to win their first title in fifteen years.

Following the 3-1 win at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, over 50% of all Championship Winner bets have headed in the direction of Norwich City, substantially more than the next best backed team – Sheffield United – with around 15%. The Blades further strengthened their case for a top-three finish to the season by beating Bolton Wanderers to the tune of 2-0 at Bramall Lane.

Second-placed Leeds United will look to bounce back from their hugely disappointing weekend defeat when they travel to Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon, the West Yorkshire side 13/8 with Ladbrokes Bookmakers to lift the Championship crown.

Norwich City will be confident of strengthening their position at the top of the league table when they take on bitter rivals Ipswich Town in the East Anglian derby match. The Canaries have avoided defeat to the Tractor Boys in ten years and they are as low as 1/3 to get the better of their rivals this weekend.
