With the Six Nations Championship now out of the way, attention turns back to domestic club action with players looking to hone their form ahead of the World Cup towards the end of the year. As far as form is concerned, Leicester are lacking it completely this season with the Tigers currently languishing in the lower reaches of the Premiership table in tenth position. They launched their campaign in dismal fashion and with just six wins in their sixteen games, they will be desperate to turn things around as soon as possible.
In contrast, weekend opponents Northampton have been enjoying some decent form at times this season although they have slipped down the league table thanks to a hugely disappointing weekend defeat by struggling Bristol. As such, Saints have drifted further away from the play-off places and will be keen to return to winning ways at Welford Road.

Most recent meetings of these two sides have ended with Northampton coming out on top, Saints winning two of the last three games. The last meeting was a thoroughly entertaining affair with Northampton winning 47-20 at Franklin Gardens and since then the Tigers have suffered defeat in all-but-one of their subsequent four outings. Leicester have been rather better in front of their home fans with wins in three of their last four home matches and with Saints struggling at times on their travels, we’ll be siding firmly with the hosts on Friday evening with BetVictor Bookmakers going 10/11 on Leicester -3 on Handicap Market.
