Slashed Odds
Kevin De Bruyne’s hugely impressive showing since the Premier League got underway following lockdown has resulted in his odds being slashed in the PFA Player of the Year betting market. Indeed the bookies have all cut the price on the Manchester City midfielder from a general 2/1 to 41/50 at the time of writing. As such, he has moved ahead of Jordan Henderson in the market and into pole position, the Liverpool talisman lengthening to as much as 3/1 in the process.
Liverpool domination
The bookmaker shortlist for the award is made up mainly of Liverpool players with Sadio Mane priced as third favourite at odds of 9/2. Last season’s winner, Virgil van Dijk, is an 11/1 punt to successfully retain his crown as best player in the Premier League. Trent Alexander-Arnold is next in the market at odds of 12/1, ahead of Mo Salah and Fabinho at 18/1 and 50/1 respectively.
Player of the Year odds
Jamie Vardy is looking a banker to be top goalscorer this season and the Leicester City star is also priced at 50/1 to win Player of the Year award. Roberto Firmino is way out at 100/1 to be given the coveted award.
