Bouncing boxers, walking snowmen, monsters under the bed, yes it’s Christmas advert time again and our TV screens have already been inundated with offerings from the likes of Asda, Amazon and Tescos. Nevertheless the real heavyweight in the Christmas advert line-up is yet to make an appearance and once again, John Lewis is remaining very tight-lipped on this year’s narrative and release date.
Nevertheless in 2017 and 2018 the release date was the second Friday in November and on that basis, we envisage that this year’s offering will be released later this week. The big questions are, what will the advert feature and who will sing in it?
There have been indications that a hospital will feature in the 2019 offering with alleged leaked photographs claiming to show a boy sat next to a bed in a ward, the room bedecked with tinsel and other decorations. Another photo allegedly shows Santa Claus with a book open in his hands.
Should this be a real indication of what to expect, then we could be in for a real tearjerker!
