Ipswich Town v Rotherham United Match Preview & Free Bets

Rotherham should make light work of Championship strugglers Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon

Ipswich Town are massive odds-on favourites to drop down into League One at the end of 2018/19 and it certainly isn’t hard to see why, the Tractor Boys sitting five points adrift at the foot of the Championship table with a measly ten points collected from their 26 league outings. Paul Lambert was appointed boss at Portman Road in October but thus far he has had little success in turning things around at the East Andlian club and we don’t envisage things getting any better when Rotherham United come to town on Saturday afternoon.

Ipswich threw themselves a lifeline when beating Wigan Athletic 1-0 in mid-December but this result has proven to be little more than a temporary blip in an otherwise dreadful campaign, the subsequent five-game winless run culminating in a 1-0 defeat to League One side Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup last weekend.

Weekend opponents Rotherham United are hardly flying high in this season’s Championship with their latest outing ending in a 7-0 hammering by Manchester City in the FA Cup, however they ended a nine-game winless league run with a 2-1 win over Preston North End on New Year’s Day and given Ipswich Town’s woes this season, we’re going to stick our necks and and back the Millers to make it two Championship wins on the bounce this weekend, Ladbrokes Bookmakers going 11/5 on Rotherham United to win.
