Fulham v Crystal Palace Match Preview & Free Bets

Fulham have been handed a tie with city rivals Crystal Palace in their first outing back in the Premier League

Fulham have been absent from the Premier League for four seasons although they now find themselves back in the top-flight and their reward is a home clash with London rivals Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon. The Cottagers had even faced the real threat of dropping into League One at times, however the appointment of Slavisa Jokanovic as manager coupled with some inspired transfer movements all played a part in lifting the west London outfit out of the Championship and into the bright lights of the Premier League.

Jokanovic has continued his forays into the transfer market throughout the summer and he has brought in the likes of Alfie Mawson from relegated Swansea City, Jean Michael Seri from Nice and made permanent the transfer of Newcastle United’s Aleksander Mitrovic, the latter proving his worth whilst on loan at Craven Cottage last term.

Fulham’s pre-season campaign may have been far from impressive, however we’ll be siding with them to get their Premier League season off to the best possible start by taking all three points on Saturday, the bookmakers giving away free bets on Fulham v Crystal Palace.

The Eagles were all but resigned to relegation early last season with not a single goal scored and no points earned in their opening seven league matches, however Roy Hodgson was hired to save the day and he managed what many believed was the impossible and kept the south Londoners in the top-flight at the end of the campaign.

The Eagles continued this form into their pre-season campaign with five wins from five friendlies, however Fulham have made some solid additions to their squad in the past few weeks and will certainly offer a massive threat going forward this weekend. The Cottagers may have a lack of Premier League experience throughout the ranks but we expect them to give a good account of themselves in their opening match back in the top-flight and as such we’ll be siding with them to take a maximum points haul on Saturday afternoon, William Hill Bookmakers going 6/4 on Fulham to win.
