England are very much in control of Group I with Gareth Southgate’s men having clinched 19 points from their seven World Cup 2022 qualifying matches thus far. Two points were dropped against Poland in the last game of the previous international break, however the Three Lions came roaring back with a comprehensive 5-0 thumping of Andorra last time out.

On Tuesday evening, England go head-to-head with Hungary and while this will be an altogether more testing encounter than their weekend outing, Southgate will be confident of claiming all three points against a side which they thumped 4-0 in Budapest last month.

The Three Lions currently enjoy a four-point lead at the top of the Group I table and their goal difference of 21 is greater than any other side in the European qualifiers with the notable exception of Group F leaders Denmark. Another three points for England would be another massive step towards qualifying for Qatar 2022 and Southgate’s men are massive odds-on favourites to once again claim all the spoils at Wembley.
