England are firmly in control of their destiny in World Cup Qualifying Group I with three points separating them from second-placed Poland and Gareth Southgate’s men will be going in search of nothing less than three points when Albania come to town on Friday evening.

We’re promised an entertaining encounter on Friday evening when Group I leaders England lock horns with Albania at Wembley Stadium. The visitors desperately need to win this one should they wish to qualify for the 2022 World Cup and as such, there’s little chance of them sitting back and attempting to soak up whatever is thrown at them. On the whole, England’s qualifying matches have been very much a case of attack versus defence, however this should prove to be a relatively open affair and there will almost certainly be far more space available for the talented England attacking force.

A handful of Three Lions regulars are either out of form or injured and these include the likes of Harry Kane, Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire. Nevertheless Phil Foden, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Reece James and Declan Rice have all been enjoying some solid form of late and we expect them to make their presence felt at Wembley on Friday.

The home side are 1/8 favourites for the win here and this in itself highlights the task facing Albania in this World Cup qualifier. That’s not to say that it will be a walk in the park for Gareth Southgate’s men and there will certainly be the usual moments of frustration, however this should be a relatively easy three points for England as they storm towards the 2022 World Cup.
