Champions League Odds: Who will be crowned European champions in 2023/24?

Update: 09.05.24

The final of the 2023/24 Champions League throws together Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in what promises to be a high-octane thriller of an encounter at Wembley Stadium.

Real Madrid disposed of Bayern Munich in thrilling fashion in the semi-finals of the Champions League, the Spanish giants going a goal behind but nevertheless storming their way into the final on the back of a late double from Joselu. Indeed, it seemed as though the Bundesliga side had done just about enough enough but with just two minutes left on the clock, the tie was turned on its head and Real are now just one game away of claiming their 15th European crown.

Borussia Dortmund made it into the final of the competition thanks to victory over a PSG side which have yet to be crowned European champions. The German side have been excellent throughout the competition but they will be made to work extremely hard by a Real side which have made this tournament very much their own over the years.

We’re now fast approaching the end of the group stages of the 2023/24 Champions League campaign and it’s starting to become clearer who will be heading into the knockout phase of the tournament.

The penultimate round of 2023/24 Champions League group games get underway this week (28th and 29th November 2023) with many sides on the verge of making it through to the knockout stages of the tournament. In Group A, Bayern Munich are through to the last sixteen of the competition with two games to spare, a full eight points separating them from second-placed Copenhagen. The Bundesliga side are one of just three sides (the others being Real Madrid and Manchester City) with a perfect record at this stage of proceedings.

In Group B, Arsenal are in full control as things stand with nine points from their opening four games, four points more than PSV in second position and Lens in third. Real Madrid are the dominant side in Group C with twelve points collected from their four group games, the Spanish giants assured of a place in the last sixteen but not yet confirmed as group winners.

In Group D, Real Sociedad and Inter Milan sit level on ten points apiece and are both assured of a place in the last sixteen while Group E remains wide open with just a single point separating leaders Atletico Madrid from second-placed Lazio who in turn are just one point ahead of third placed Feyenoord.

Things are even closer in Group F with just three points separating leaders Borussia Dortmund from fourth-placed Newcastle United with two games left to play. In Group G, Manchester City have booked their place in the last sixteen thanks to their perfect record, however they aren’t yet guaranteed top spot in the group with RB Leipzig sitting just three points behind Pep Guardiola’s men.

Group H is set to be a close call, Barcelona and Porto sitting level on nine points apiece at the top of the group with third-placed Shakhtar Donetsk just three points behind.

At the time of writing, defending European champions Manchester City are firm favourites at a best price of 9/4 to claim the Champions League trophy, while Bayern Munich are second in the market at a best price of 9/2. Real Madrid and Arsenal complete the top four in the betting at 13/2 and 9/1 respectively.
