Celtic v Motherwell Scottish Cup Preview & Free Bets

The Hoops will complete back-to-back trebles should they beat Motherwell on Saturday afternoon

Celtic are on the verge of making history by becoming the first ever Scottish club to complete back-to-back domestic trebles and few believe that they will fail in their quest when they lock horns with Motherwell at Hampden Park this weekend. The Hoops were victorious against the Steelmen in the League Cup earlier this season and won the Scottish Premiership crown in relatively easy fashion with a nine-point gap between themselves and second-placed Aberdeen at the close of the campaign. They will now be going in search of a clean sweep of domestic silverware, something which has never been achieved before in successive seasons. Indeed they  carried all before them in 2016/17 season when they went through the whole campaign without suffering a single defeat in all domestic competitions and while they have been nowhere near as invincible this time around with four domestic defeats to their name, they nevertheless remain miles ahead of any other side in the Scottish game.

Celtic are huge odds-on favourites to lift the Scottish Cup this weekend although you can enjoy a host of free bet offers courtesy of the bookmakers.

Brendan Rodgers’ men were far from impressive in their last two Premiership outings with a goal-less draw at home to Kilmarnock followed by a 1-0 defeat to Aberdeen at Celtic Park, however by this point the Scottish title was very much in the bag and we can certainly expect far more potency from the Hoops when they take to the Hampden pitch on Saturday afternoon.

Motherwell have been something of a mixed bag in the Premiership this season although they appear to have saved their best performances for cup competitions with 3-0 wins over Aberdeen in both the League Cup and the Scottish Cup. Nevertheless it would be a massive upset were they to snatch the Scottish Cup from under Celtic’s noses and while there have been surprises galore in cup competitions in the past, we envisage this particular one going very much to the script with William Hill Bookies going 11/10 on Celtic to win-to-nil.
