Burnley v Brighton & Hove Albion Match Preview & Free Bets

Burnley are struggling near the foot of the Premier League table and we don't envisage them returning to winning ways on Saturday afternoon

Burnley welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon and with each of the last five meetings between these sides ending all-square, we believe that the spoils will once again be shared when they line-up against each other this weekend. Of the two, Brighton are enjoying the better season by far, the Seagulls having climbed up to the top-half of the league table thanks to their two consecutive wins over Huddersfield Town and Crystal Palace. Shane Duffy was red-carded in the latter match and the centre-half will be absent for this weekend’s trip to Lancashire, star striker Glenn Murray’s participation also in doubt due to a suspected shoulder injury.

The main concern for the Seagulls is their form on the road and despite wins away to Huddersfield Town and Newcastle United, their away performances have left a lot to be desired compared to their displays in front of their home fans. As such we’ll be stopping short of backing them to beat the struggling Clarets this weekend although we do expect Chris Hughton’s men to give a good account of themselves at Turf Moor, the bookmakers giving away free bets on Burnley v Brighton & Hove Albion.

Burnley have thus far failed miserably to replicate their relative success of last season when they secured for themselves a place in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League thanks to their top-seven finish in the Premier League. Indeed the Clarets currently sit level on points with bottom side Fulham, goal difference alone separating the sides. They impressed when taking the lead against Liverpool in their midweek outing and while they ultimately lost 3-1 to the Reds, we expect Burnley to take confidence from their performance and force Brighton to settle for another draw on Saturday afternoon, BetVictor Bookmakers going 21/10 on a draw.
