Burnley 2025/26 Fixtures: Claret Chaos for the New Season
The fixture computer has spoken, and once again Burnley fans are looking at a Premier League schedule that could very well drive even the most stoic Lancashire resident to tears — or at least to the nearest pub. Grab your coat, your Bovril, and possibly a full case of paracetamol. This, dear reader, is Burnley’s 2025/26 fixture list in all its unpredictable glory.
August: Tossed Straight into the Deep End
The season starts with the kind of warm welcome you’d expect from a grizzly bear. A trip to Tottenham on 16th August, where Ange’s lads may either click like a finely tuned orchestra or fall apart like an IKEA wardrobe built by your Uncle Barry.
Then, thankfully, a bit of home comfort arrives on 23rd August as Sunderland visit Turf Moor. Theoretically winnable. But then again, so was Brexit.
August finishes with a jaunt to Old Trafford on 30th August to face Manchester United. Always a nice way to remind yourself that football can be heartbreakingly cruel, especially when VAR gets involved.
September: No Let-Up in Sight
September 13th brings Liverpool to Turf Moor. Jurgen’s boys tend to arrive like a blitzkrieg — full of energy, speed, and the occasional VAR farce that leaves you shouting at the telly.
Next up, Nottingham Forest visit on 20th September. Forest are one of those sides that either self-destruct entirely or pull off ridiculous away wins just to confuse everyone.
The month closes out with the daunting prospect of Manchester City away on 27th September. If you’re the optimistic type, this might be a chance for one of those famous ‘smash-and-grab’ miracles. If you’re realistic, it’s more likely an exercise in damage limitation.
October: Mild Breathers (Sort Of)
On 4th October, Burnley travel to Aston Villa. Villa Park has become a rather unpleasant place to visit lately, especially if their midfield clicks into gear.
Back home, Leeds arrive on 18th October for what could be a breathless encounter. Leeds like to attack. Constantly. Defending? Optional.
The month finishes with a tricky away trip to Wolves on 25th October. Molineux is rarely a place that gifts you points — think more of a 90-minute cage fight with occasional football.
November: Grim and Grittier
November begins on 1st with Arsenal visiting Turf Moor. Arteta’s men will arrive in their stylish club coach, armed with possession stats, but prone to the odd wobble when you least expect it.
A trip to West Ham follows on 8th November. The Hammers are as predictable as British weather — meaning completely unpredictable.
Chelsea arrive on 22nd November, bringing with them a team full of highly-paid, highly-talented individuals who sometimes forget which end of the pitch they’re meant to be attacking.
The month concludes with a trip to Brentford on 29th November. The Bees’ stadium may be small but the noise is anything but. A tricky place to nick points.
December: Festive Fixture Madness
Crystal Palace kick off December’s chaos on 3rd December. Turf Moor is always good for a raucous atmosphere and at least one slightly bonkers VAR decision.
Then it’s up to Newcastle on 6th December, where the home fans will be baying for blood and the Saudi-backed squad could turn this into a long afternoon.
Fulham come to Turf Moor on 13th December, a game that might — possibly — resemble actual football rather than survival training.
On 20th December, Bournemouth provide a festive south coast jaunt. These are exactly the sort of away days that leave you cold, wet, and cursing the motorway traffic.
Boxing Day hangovers are followed by Everton at home on 27th December, before Newcastle visit again on 30th December to round off a month that’ll likely leave Burnley’s physio with overtime pay.
January: A Chilly Start to 2026
The new year begins on 3rd January with an away trip to Brighton. The Amex isn’t the most terrifying venue, but their possession game can lull opponents into submission.
Next, Manchester United visit on 7th January — because playing them once per season simply isn’t stressful enough.
Mid-January sees a miserable journey to Anfield on 17th January, where Liverpool at home rarely gift visitors any sort of Christmas leftovers.
Then it’s Tottenham at home on 24th January, followed by Sunderland away on 31st January. If you’re still mentally intact by the end of this month, consider yourself a true Burnley veteran.
February: Ever So Slightly Calmer
February kicks off with West Ham at home on 7th February. A genuine opportunity to grab some precious points if the Hammers are having one of their ‘off days.’
Next up, a short trip down to Crystal Palace on 11th February, where late drama is practically guaranteed.
Chelsea away follows on 21st February — a fixture that often feels like playing chess against someone who occasionally forgets the rules entirely.
The month wraps up with Brentford at home on 28th February, which could be nervy depending on where both sides sit in the table.
March: That Sinking Feeling
March starts with a visit to Everton on 4th March. The Toffees may either be fighting relegation themselves or comfortably mid-table. No one, not even Everton fans, knows which version will turn up.
On 14th March, Bournemouth head north to Turf Moor. Expect rain. Expect nerves. Expect questionable defending from both sides.
March ends with a trip to Fulham on 21st March, which could be one of those fixtures everyone forgets until it ends up decisive come May.
April: The Business End of the Season
April opens with Brighton visiting on 11th April. By now, every game carries that horrible pit-in-your-stomach importance.
Nottingham Forest away comes next on 18th April, a fixture that’s unlikely to produce many goals but will definitely produce many fouls.
Manchester City close out April at Turf Moor on 25th April. You may want to have a strong drink ready.
May: Where Destiny is Decided
The run-in starts with Leeds away on 2nd May. Picture flares, chaos, and plenty of hand-wringing.
Then Aston Villa arrive on 9th May for the penultimate home game at Turf Moor.
And finally, just to keep things tense until the bitter end, a trip to Arsenal on 17th May followed by Wolves at home on 24th May. Survival may very well depend on how much nerve is left in the tank.
